Overview

ZLT-001 is an autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy developed by Guangzhou Zhiling Biomedical for the treatment of advanced, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. The therapy involves the isolation of naturally occurring T cells from a patient's tumor tissue, followed by their large-scale expansion and activation ex vivo. Once re-infused into the patient after a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen, these TILs can recognize and attack tumor cells through their diverse T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire, which targets multiple tumor-specific neoantigens. In late 2023, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approved the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for ZLT-001, allowing it to proceed into clinical trials for cervical cancer.
