Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZN6168 is a small molecule inhibitor of the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) nonstructural protein 5A (NS5A), developed by Shanghai Aibo Pharmaceutical Technology. It is designed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection, functioning as a direct-acting antiviral (DAA). By targeting the NS5A protein, ZN6168 disrupts the formation of the viral replication complex and the assembly of mature virions. In clinical trials, ZN6168 is typically administered orally in combination with ZN6166, an NS3/4A protease inhibitor, to achieve a potent, interferon-free therapeutic effect across multiple HCV genotypes.
