Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zocobin Plus is a neurotropic combination therapy developed and marketed by MTI Medical, primarily used for the management of peripheral neuropathies, including diabetic neuropathy. It contains mecobalamin (a coenzyme form of vitamin B12), alpha lipoic acid (a potent antioxidant), folic acid, and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Mecobalamin facilitates nerve regeneration by promoting myelin sheath formation through methionine synthase activation. Alpha lipoic acid reduces oxidative stress and improves endoneurial blood flow, while folic acid and pyridoxine support essential metabolic processes and neurotransmitter synthesis. Together, these components work synergistically to alleviate symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and pain associated with nerve damage.
