Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination drug** comprised of three distinct agents: - **Zolbetuximab**: A chimeric IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight-junction membrane protein overexpressed in certain gastric and gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancers. Zolbetuximab mediates anti-tumor activity by inducing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) in CLDN18.2-positive tumor cells[1][2][4][6]. - **Zoledronic acid**: A third-generation nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate that inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. It is primarily used to prevent skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases, treat hypercalcemia of malignancy, and manage osteoporosis. Mechanistically, zoledronic acid inhibits farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase, leading to impaired osteoclast function and survival. - **Aldesleukin**: A recombinant human interleukin-2 (IL-2) cytokine used as an immunotherapy, primarily for metastatic renal cell carcinoma and metastatic melanoma. Aldesleukin acts by stimulating proliferation and activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. This combination has no recognized brand or code name and does not reflect a standard therapeutic regimen; there is no current evidence for a formal clinical program, regulatory approval, or coordinated use of these three agents together.
