Overview

Zorpocabtagene autoleucel (zorpo-cel, MB-CART19.1) is an autologous T-cell product engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19. This CAR T-cell therapy is designed to induce deep B-cell depletion, thereby addressing the pathological B-cell activation and autoantibody formation characteristic of autoimmune diseases. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of severe, treatment-resistant systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), systemic sclerosis (SSc), and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM). The drug has demonstrated favorable safety and high efficacy in a Phase I/II basket trial, leading to drug-free remission in a significant number of patients.
