Overview

ZQN-4101 is an orally bioavailable small molecule antagonist of the Prostaglandin E2 receptor 4 (EP4), developed by Shanghai ForeFront Pharmaceutical. The EP4 receptor is a subtype of the G-protein coupled receptors for Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which is frequently upregulated in various cancers and contributes to an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. By blocking the interaction between PGE2 and EP4, ZQN-4101 aims to alleviate the suppression of T-cell and dendritic cell functions, thereby enhancing the body's anti-tumor immune response. It is currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, both as a monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
