Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZR202-CoV + ZR202a-CoV is a combination of two human monoclonal antibodies developed by Beijing Zhihe Biopharma for the treatment of COVID-19. Both antibodies are designed to target the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. By binding to distinct or overlapping epitopes on the RBD, the cocktail prevents the virus from interacting with the human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor, thereby neutralizing the virus and blocking its entry into host cells. This dual-antibody approach is intended to enhance potency and maintain efficacy against emerging viral variants that might escape neutralization by a single antibody.
