Overview

ZSP1603 is an orally administered small molecule drug developed by Guangdong Zhongsheng Pharmaceutical and Guangdong Raynovent Biotech. It acts as an antifibrotic and antineoplastic agent. The drug targets fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1), platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRβ), and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). It inhibits the proliferation of primary human pulmonary fibroblasts by blocking the PDGF-Rβ and ERK signaling pathways and reduces the expression of TGF-β1, TIMP-1, and COL1A1. ZSP1603 is primarily indicated for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and is in Phase I/II clinical trials for this condition.
