ZSVG-02-O

ZSVG-02-O is an mRNA vaccine developed for the prevention of COVID-19 infections, specifically targeting the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2. It is designed to induce strong humoral and cellular immune responses against Omicron subvariants, with moderate cross-reactivity to ancestral and Delta strains. The vaccine elicits high levels of neutralizing antibodies against Omicron BA.1 and demonstrates adequate efficacy against other Omicron subvariants such as BA.4.6, BF.7, BQ.1.1, and XBB[2][6]. ZSVG-02-O is being developed by Virogin Biotech in partnership with China National Biotec Group (a joint venture). As an mRNA-based immunostimulant, it works by encoding viral antigens that stimulate the immune system to recognize and respond to SARS-CoV-2 infection[1][2]. Clinical trials have reached Phase II for COVID-19 prevention in adults[1][3].
