ZSYM-008

ZSYM-008 is a small molecule drug that acts as a dual agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARδ). It is being developed primarily for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a progressive liver disease associated with metabolic dysfunction. By activating both PPARα and PPARδ, ZSYM-008 aims to improve lipid metabolism, reduce liver fat accumulation, and address inflammation and fibrosis in NASH. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials.
