Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Zubinor-PG is a fixed-dose combination sustained-release tablet developed and marketed by Elliott Labs. It contains pregabalin (75 mg), nortriptyline (10 mg), and methylcobalamin (1500 mcg). This combination is primarily indicated for the management of neuropathic pain, including diabetic peripheral neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia. Pregabalin acts as a gabapentinoid that binds to the alpha-2-delta subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels, reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, thereby enhancing descending inhibitory pain pathways. Methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12, acts as a cofactor for methionine synthase, promoting myelin sheath synthesis and supporting nerve regeneration. Together, these components provide synergistic relief for chronic neuropathic pain.
