Zutripro

Zutripro is an oral prescription combination cough and cold medication containing hydrocodone bitartrate (an opioid agonist antitussive), chlorpheniramine maleate (a first-generation histamine-1 receptor antagonist), and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (a sympathomimetic alpha-adrenergic agonist nasal decongestant). It is indicated for the temporary relief of cough and upper respiratory symptoms, including nasal congestion, associated with allergy or the common cold in adults, but carries boxed warnings related to opioid addiction, abuse and misuse, life‑threatening respiratory depression, accidental ingestion (particularly in children), cytochrome P450 3A4–mediated drug interactions, and concomitant use with benzodiazepines or other central nervous system depressants.[1][4][7]
