ZYC300 is an investigational anticancer DNA vaccine consisting of a plasmid encoding an inactivated form of the carcinogen-activating enzyme cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1), encapsulated within biodegradable poly-DL-lactide-coglycolide microparticles. The vaccine is designed to stimulate T lymphocyte responses against CYP1B1, which is highly expressed in various tumor cells but not in most normal tissues. By inducing immune sensitivity to this tumor-associated antigen, ZYC300 aims to promote antitumor immunity. It was developed for the treatment of multiple solid tumors, including breast, colon, ovarian, prostate, and renal cancers. The drug reached Phase I clinical trials but development was discontinued prior to further advancement[1][2][3].
