ZyComb

**ZyComb** is a nasal spray combination product containing **xylometazoline hydrochloride** (0.5 mg/ml), an alpha-adrenergic agonist that causes vasoconstriction of nasal blood vessels to reduce congestion, and **ipratropium bromide** (0.6 mg/ml), an anticholinergic that inhibits nasal secretions to alleviate rhinorrhea. Developed by Nycomed (formerly from Altana Pharma), it is indicated for adults in the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and runny nose associated with the common cold, with effects onset within 15 minutes lasting about 6 hours. Administered intranasally, it is contraindicated in children under 18, glaucoma patients, and post-certain nasal surgeries; common adverse events include epistaxis and nasal dryness.[1][3]
