Overview
ZYH7 is a novel small molecule drug developed as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) agonist. Its primary mechanism of action is the modulation of PPARα, which plays a key role in lipid metabolism. By activating PPARα, ZYH7 is expected to decrease triglyceride levels and correct dyslipidemia. The drug was conceptualized and developed by scientists at the Zydus Research Centre (Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd.), with clinical development led by Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. It has been investigated for the treatment of dyslipidemia and metabolic disorders such as hypertriglyceridemia, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other related endocrine/metabolic diseases[1][2][3][6].
