Zymolytic grain based extract (ZGE) is a nutraceutical product derived from the enzymatic fermentation of grains. It has demonstrated antiviral activity against HIV-1 in vitro and in vivo, with low cytotoxicity. Additionally, ZGE exhibits antioxidant properties and may have anti-obesity effects as well as the ability to extend lifespan and enhance stress resistance in model organisms such as Caenorhabditis elegans.
