ZZSW-01 is an investigational therapeutic that utilizes extracellular vesicles (EVs), or exosomes, to deliver messenger RNA (mRNA) encoding a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific to CD19. This platform is designed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies by inducing the transient expression of CARs on the patient's endogenous T cells *in vivo*, circumventing the need for complex and costly *ex vivo* cell manufacturing associated with conventional CAR-T therapies. Developed by Zhizi Biotech, ZZSW-01 is administered via injection and aims to provide a scalable, off-the-shelf alternative that may reduce the risk of long-term toxicities like those seen with viral-vector-based permanent genetic modifications.
