Each drug is counted once per disease, at its highest recorded trial phase for that disease across all captured statuses. Drug names are matched to the 52-asset TL1A cohort, ignoring case; unmatched names are excluded and aliases are not independently resolved. Repeat registry entries do not add drugs. A drug can appear in more than one disease row. Disease labels remain as recorded, without merging synonyms. Based on the original 162-trial capture; phase does not imply approval or efficacy.

Market dynamics

The market is accelerating, and 2026 will set the record. Trial starts went 10 → 29 → 54 across 2022–2025. At 44 starts by day 245, 2026 projects to about 66.

2026 projected — 66, from the run rate at day 245 of 365

Deal-making tells the same story but earlier. Of 29 genuine transactions on this target, the cluster sits in 2022–23 — Pfizer/Roivant, Merck/Prometheus, Roche/Telavant — the years the three Phase 3 assets changed hands. Activity then thinned to 3 and 2 deals in 2024 and 2025, and has picked back up to 5 already in 2026, led by Boehringer Ingelheim paying €1.058bn for Simcere's preclinical SIM0709.

That is the pattern to read: the deals came first and bought the clinical assets, the trials followed, and the 2026 deal revival is aimed at the preclinical ring rather than the centre.

Phase 3 ownership history

Every Phase 3 asset on this target was acquired, and two of the three changed hands twice.

The pattern is consistent: originate somewhere small, prove it, sell it. Tulisokibart is the clearest case — it left Cedars-Sinai, an academic medical centre, on a 2017 licence, and Merck paid for the whole of Prometheus six years later to get it. Afimkibart took the other common route, spun out of Pfizer into a purpose-built vehicle with Roivant, then sold on to Roche eleven months later.

Only duvakitug moved in a single step, and even that is a co-development rather than an outright sale — Teva kept a share.

Companies with Phase 3 asset history

Eight companies hold three assets.

Asset Companies attached
duvakitug Teva, Sanofi
tulisokibart Prometheus Biosciences, Merck
afimkibart Pfizer, Roivant, Telavant, Roche

That is the chain of custody from the previous answer, arriving as a count. Nobody is dropped when an asset changes hands, so the developer list preserves the whole history — and Prometheus and Telavant both come back marked private, not because they are small, but because being acquired removed their listing.

Afimkibart carries four because it moved twice: out of Pfizer into a purpose-built vehicle, then on to Roche. The count is the transaction history in disguise.
