A Proliferation-Inducing Ligand (APRIL)

Target
APRIL
Molecular classification
Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) Ligand Superfamily
01

Overview

A Proliferation-Inducing Ligand (APRIL), also known as TNFSF13 or CD256, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand superfamily. It promotes B cell survival, immunoglobulin class switching, and has been implicated in autoimmune diseases and cancer. APRIL interacts primarily with BCMA, TACI, and Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycans (HSPGs).
