Target intelligence / Profile preview
ABCA3 pseudogene 1 (ABCA3P1) is a non-protein-coding genomic locus with sequence similarity to the ABCA3 gene, which encodes an ATP-binding cassette transporter involved in pulmonary surfactant metabolism[4][7]. Unlike ABCA3, ABCA3P1 is classified as a pseudogene and thus lacks a biological function, therapeutic relevance, or any known involvement in disease mechanisms. It should not be confused with ABCA3, which is a clinically significant protein.
