**ACSL6 antisense RNA 1 (ACSL6-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed antisense to the ACSL6 gene.** It is distinct from ACSL6, which encodes acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 6, a protein involved in fatty acid metabolism in tissues such as brain and retina[7][3][6][8]. There is limited information on ACSL6-AS1 itself: its molecular function, disease relevance, and drug interactions are largely uncharacterized in current databases and literature.
