Overview

Actin gamma 1 pseudogene 2 (ACTG1P2) is a non-coding, non-functional pseudogene located in the human genome. Unlike its parent gene ACTG1—which encodes gamma-actin, an important cytoskeletal protein—ACTG1P2 does not code for a protein and has no known biological or clinical function. It is sometimes cited in genomic annotation databases under aliases such as ACTGP2 and ACTL2. There is no evidence linking ACTG1P2 itself to any disease, biological process, molecular pathway, or pharmacological intervention.
