Actin like 11, pseudogene (ACTL11P; also known as ACTBP13, ACTB pseudogene 13) is a pseudogene, meaning it is a genetic sequence similar to that encoding actin beta (ACTB), but is generally considered non-functional and not expressed as a protein in humans. Pseudogenes lack the regulatory elements or sequence integrity required to produce functional proteins, and thus ACTL11P does not encode a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other typical drug target. There is no evidence that ACTL11P is a functional molecule or involved in any known biological pathway, disease, or drug mechanism. Its only relevance is its sequence similarity to the functional ACTB (beta-actin) gene, which is an essential cytoskeletal protein[3][4]. ACTL11P itself is not considered a therapeutic or biological target and should not be confused with the functional beta-actin gene.
