Overview
Actin-like protein 10 (ACTL10) is a member of the actin-related protein family, sharing structural and functional similarities with actin, the core component of the cytoskeleton[1][5]. ACTL10 is predicted to participate in cytoskeletal organization, cell shape maintenance, and intracellular transport[1][3]. Though its precise biological function remains incompletely characterized, ACTL10 has been shown to have prognostic value in cytogenetically normal acute myeloid leukemia (CN-AML), where higher RNA expression and lower DNA methylation are associated with better prognosis[2]. There is currently no evidence that ACTL10 serves as a direct therapeutic target, nor are there any known drugs that interact with it. However, its utility as a prognostic biomarker in specific leukemias has been demonstrated[2].
