Activating transcription factor 4 pseudogene 4 (ATF4P4) is a human genomic locus structurally related to the protein-coding ATF4 gene, but does not encode a functional protein. It is classified as a pseudogene—an evolutionary remnant of the active ATF4 gene—with no evidence for active transcript or peptide product[2][6]. ATF4P4 is sometimes also referenced as ATF4B.
