Target intelligence / Profile preview
ACTN1 divergent transcript (ACTN1-DT) is a long non-coding RNA gene (lncRNA) located at 14q24.1. It is transcribed antisense to the ACTN1 coding gene but does not encode a protein. ACTN1-DT is also known as ACTN1-AS1, C14orf84, and ACTN1 antisense RNA 1 (non-protein coding). There is little functional characterization of this lncRNA, and it is not classified as an enzyme, receptor, transporter, or canonical drug target. GWAS studies include associations at the locus, but mechanistic involvement in disease or therapy has not been established.
