Target intelligence / Profile preview
ADAMTS17 antisense RNA 1 (ADAMTS17-AS1) is a presumed long non-coding RNA transcribed from the DNA strand antisense to the ADAMTS17 gene locus. Like other antisense lncRNAs, it likely exerts regulatory functions at the level of gene transcription, RNA processing, or chromatin modification in close vicinity to its sense (ADAMTS17) gene[12][3]. While many antisense lncRNAs have been implicated in diseases such as cancer, inflammation, or imprinting disorders, there is presently no direct evidence or disease association in the literature for ADAMTS17-AS1 specifically[9][13][14]. ADAMTS17-AS1 is not a classical therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and there are no clinical agents or biomarkers directly associated with this gene.
