ADCY2 antisense RNA 1 (ADCY2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcript that is transcribed from the genomic region antisense to the ADCY2 coding gene. As an antisense RNA, it may participate in the regulation of the sense ADCY2 gene through mechanisms that include transcriptional interference, regulation of chromatin structure, mRNA stability, or translation inhibition, although its precise biological role has not been characterized in detail[3].
