Target intelligence / Profile preview
Adenylate kinase 4 pseudogene 6 (AK4P6) is a human processed pseudogene, annotated based on sequence homology to the protein-coding adenylate kinase 4 (AK4) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences structurally similar to functional genes but do not encode active proteins. Most database entries for the AK4 family refer to AK4 itself or to other pseudogenes such as AK4P1, with AK4P6 specifically lacking experimental characterization. As a pseudogene, AK4P6 is not a therapeutic target, does not participate in known molecular pathways, and has no documented disease associations, functional roles, or drug/drug-like interactions[3][4].
