Overview
Adhesion G protein-coupled receptor E2 (ADGRE2) is a member of the adhesion class of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). It is primarily expressed on immune system cells, including mast cells, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and granulocytes. ADGRE2 plays a role in immune system function, particularly mast cell activity involved in protective immunity and allergic responses, as well as cell adhesion and myeloid cell migration. A pathogenic mutation in ADGRE2 is associated with vibratory urticaria.
