ADIPOQ antisense RNA 1 (ADIPOQ-AS1)

ADIPOQ antisense RNA 1 (ADIPOQ-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that overlaps with the ADIPOQ (adiponectin) gene and acts primarily as a post-transcriptional regulator of ADIPOQ expression[4][6]. It does not encode a protein and is classified as an antisense lncRNA[4][5].
