Target intelligence / Profile preview
Aiolos, encoded by the *IKZF3* gene, is a member of the Ikaros family of zinc-finger transcription factors primarily expressed in lymphoid tissues. It regulates proliferation and differentiation of lymphocytes and participates in chromatin remodeling. Aiolos is involved in key functions such as apoptosis regulation via direct control of Bcl-2 expression and is implicated in hematological malignancies. It is a target for PROTAC-based therapeutic strategies.
Targeted protein degradation via E3 ubiquitin ligases (e.g., cereblon (CRBN)) and the proteasome pathway.
