ALPPL2 (Alkaline Phosphatase, Placental-Like 2), also known as ALPG or GCAP, is a membrane-bound glycosylated enzyme belonging to the alkaline phosphatase family. It is highly expressed in certain tumor tissues, making it a potential target for antibody-drug conjugates and CAR T-cell therapies. ALPPL2 also plays roles in maintaining naïve pluripotency. It functions by catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphate esters in an alkaline environment.
