Alpha-1B adrenergic receptor (ADRA1B)

Target
ADRA1B
Molecular classification
G protein-coupled receptor, GPCR, Adrenergic receptor
01

Overview

The alpha-1B adrenergic receptor (ADRA1B) is a G protein-coupled receptor that mediates physiological responses to norepinephrine and epinephrine. It plays a role in vasoconstriction, cell proliferation, and metabolic modulation. Dysregulation may contribute to oncogenesis. It is a therapeutic target for schizophrenia, PTSD, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and other genitourinary disorders.
