Target intelligence / Profile preview
Amino acid supplementation refers to the use of dietary supplements containing one or more amino acids, typically focusing on the nine essential amino acids that humans cannot synthesize and must obtain from their diet. These supplements support protein synthesis, muscle growth, hormone production, neurotransmitter synthesis, and immune function. While generally safe at recommended doses, excessive intake can lead to side effects. Supplementation may be particularly indicated when dietary intake is insufficient or when there’s increased physiological demand.
Increases circulating amino acid levels to support protein synthesis, muscle growth, and other metabolic processes.
