Target intelligence / Profile preview
AMP-related protein kinase 5 (ARK5), also known as NUAK1, is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the AMPK-related kinase family. It plays a role in cellular stress responses, regulating the localization of RNA-binding proteins and modulating apoptosis. ARK5 is involved in energy homeostasis and may represent a therapeutic target for diseases characterized by aberrant cell death or survival signaling.
Phosphorylation of target proteins, e.g., hnRNP A1, leading to altered protein localization and activity.
