Target intelligence / Profile preview
The Amylin 1 receptor (AMY1) is a member of the amylin receptor family, which are heterodimeric complexes formed by the calcitonin receptor (CTR) and a receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1). AMY1 specifically consists of CTR paired with RAMP1. Activation leads to cAMP production via Gs-protein coupling and plays a key role in regulation of gastric emptying, food intake, satiety, and glycemic control.
