Overview
ANAPC15 (Anaphase promoting complex subunit 15) is a component of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a multi-unit E3 ubiquitin ligase responsible for protein degradation that regulates progression through mitosis. The APC15 subunit promotes the turnover of CDC20 and the mitotic checkpoint complex, thereby facilitating timely anaphase initiation and maintaining genomic stability. It is essential for proper cell cycle regulation and chromosome segregation, but is not itself a standalone drug target.
