Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 5 (ANAPC5) is a tetratricopeptide repeat-containing protein that is an integral member of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a multi-protein E3 ubiquitin ligase critical for the regulation of cell cycle transitions through targeted degradation of mitotic regulators such as cyclins[1][3][9]. ANAPC5 also acts as a scaffold facilitating interactions with transcriptional coactivators (CBP/p300) and adaptor proteins (A20) involved in immune signaling, notably negatively regulating IL-17 receptor signaling[2]. Aberrations in APC/C function, including its ANAPC5 subunit, are implicated in chromosomal instability, tumorigenesis, and autoimmunity[1][2][5].
