Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 7 (ANAPC7) is a protein that comprises a part of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a multi-subunit E3 ubiquitin ligase complex essential for regulation of the cell cycle, particularly the transition from mitosis to G1 phase[1][3][6]. ANAPC7 contains tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domains and facilitates protein-protein interactions necessary for the ubiquitination and degradation of cell cycle regulators such as B-type cyclins[1][2][3][6]. By mediating substrate recognition and ubiquitin conjugation, ANAPC7 is indispensable for proper mitotic progression, cellular proliferation, and tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation or mutation of ANAPC7 and its parent complex has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders[3][7].
