An angiogenesis inducing agent is a substance that stimulates or promotes the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) from pre-existing vasculature. This process can be physiological, such as in wound healing and tissue growth, or pathological, as seen in tumor development. Key examples include VEGF, FGF, and PDGF. These agents act by binding to specific receptors on endothelial cells, stimulating cell proliferation, migration, and extracellular matrix remodeling.
