ANKRD6 antisense RNA 1 (ANKRD6-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene transcribed antisense to the ANKRD6 locus. As an antisense RNA, it does not code for proteins but may play a regulatory role by modulating expression of the ANKRD6 gene or other genes through RNA-RNA interactions, consistent with general known roles for antisense lncRNAs in gene expression regulation and mRNA transport. However, no published evidence currently links ANKRD6-AS1 to specific cellular processes, diseases, or drug responses, and it is not established as a therapeutic target
