Target intelligence / Profile preview
ANKRD11 pseudogene 1 (ANKRD11P1) is a non-coding pseudogene homologous to the functional ANKRD11 gene. Pseudogenes lack the capability to code for a functional protein product due to disabling mutations or truncations. The functional ANKRD11 gene encodes the ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 11, a nuclear transcriptional regulator involved in chromatin modification, neurodevelopment, and implicated in KBG syndrome, but ANKRD11P1 does not share these attributes[7].
