Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 13C (ANKRD13C) is a human protein encoded by the ANKRD13C gene. It functions primarily as a molecular chaperone for G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), regulating their proper folding, biogenesis, and facilitating their exit from the endoplasmic reticulum to ensure trafficking to the appropriate cellular compartments[9][10][11][12]. ANKRD13C contains ankyrin repeat domains, which are known for mediating protein-protein interactions.
