Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 18A (ANKRD18A) is a human protein encoded by the ANKRD18A gene, containing ankyrin repeat motifs commonly found in proteins mediating protein-protein interactions. There are at least two isoforms produced by alternative splicing, and the gene localizes to chromosome 9p13.1. The molecular function and biological processes in which ANKRD18A participates are currently unknown. Its role in disease is also unclear, with only tentative associations described for vulvar dystrophy and chorioangioma. There are no known drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns associated with this protein[1][3][4][6].
