Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 34C (ANKRD34C) is a human protein encoded by the ANKRD34C gene, located on chromosome 15[4]. It is a member of the ankyrin repeat domain protein family, which is characterized by the presence of ankyrin motifs—structures known for mediating protein–protein interactions[6][2]. While ankyrin repeat proteins as a group participate in diverse cellular processes such as signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, and cytoskeletal organization, the specific biological function of ANKRD34C remains uncharacterized. It is annotated to be predicted active in pi-body (piRNA processing body), but there are currently no reports implicating ANKRD34C in disease, therapeutic targeting, or drug interactions[3]. There is no evidence to support ANKRD34C as a current therapeutic target, nor is it associated with known clinical biomarkers or safety concerns.
