Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 36C (ANKRD36C)

Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 36C (ANKRD36C) is a member of the ankyrin repeat domain (ANKRD) protein family, characterized by multiple ankyrin repeat motifs that mediate protein–protein interactions[1][3]. The precise biological functions of ANKRD36C remain poorly understood, but it has been implicated in the pathogenesis of immune-mediated thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (iTTP), likely by affecting pathways related to protein glycosylation and inflammation[1]. The protein is predicted to have ion channel inhibitor activity and may participate in cell regulatory processes through its protein–protein interaction domains[3].
