Annexin A2 pseudogene 3 (ANXA2P3), also known as LIP2, is a noncoding genomic locus considered a pseudogene of the protein-coding annexin A2 (ANXA2) gene. Unlike its parental gene, ANXA2P3 does not produce a functional protein. There is little evidence of direct biological or disease-related function, though some pseudogenes related to annexin A2 have been shown to be transcribed in certain cancers, potentially serving as noncoding regulatory elements[3].
