Anti-CRISPR protein AcrIIA26 is a small, phage-derived protein that serves as a potent inhibitor of the Type II-A CRISPR-Cas9 system, specifically targeting the widely utilized Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9) variant.
