Saponin-mediated pathways refer to the mechanisms by which saponin-based adjuvants (SBAs) enhance the activation of antigen-presenting cells (APCs), particularly dendritic cells (DCs). These pathways promote cross-presentation, lipid body formation, and PERK pathway activation in specific DC subsets, resulting in robust cellular and humoral immune responses. SBAs are used as vaccine adjuvants for cancer immunotherapy and infectious disease prophylaxis.
